Can someone tell me if there is a max amount a system can create/use?

I was told that the amount of message queues can be unlimited because of "paging" ???

Can someone shed some light on message queues? Thanks!!!!

On most unix systems the max is defined as a kernel parameter. On aix it's probably not but I am not sure.
