hello group
can anyone assure me to use which version of Oracle for Nt installation with Baan4c4 .
And if there is another way of doing it then what is it ?
i was trying to install baan4c4 with winNt and oracle 8i
but baan doesnt works on it , although it works for oracle , baan on unix .
please is any one on Baan with Nt as OS and Oracle as Database
then please tell me what version are u using of all the three.

I think the only 'official' choice you have is to go for Oracle 8.0.x in which case 8.0.6 would be the highest available version. Some of this was discussed in the following thread (http://www.baanboard.com/baanboard/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9).

I haven't tried the workaround that was proposed in that thread yet myself.

Baan Global Solutions stated in a solution that we got that they also support 8.1.6 and 8.1.7.

Oracle8i is surely supported but the does the NT/W2K installer program also support the database version?

Sorry, you are right. It has been some time ago that I did a fresh install so I don't know if the Baan installation procedure does support that. The older versions didn't.
