Hi,

Going perform a migration from a Windows2000/Informix to a Solaris/Oracle Environment.

As my latest experience has been mainly with Windows environments, some question come to mind.

i) What is the BaanIVc4/Solaris compatibility matrix?

ii) Do I have to install Oracle 8.0.6 initially and then migrate to 8.1.x ? (This has to be done on NT/2000).

iii) I am doing the initial installation of BaanIV on TBASE and then migrating 000 to Oracle, in order not to have to worry about performance in the installation. Can someone provide me with a tablespace6.1 file example? (Oracle 8.0.x or Oracle 8.1.x).

iv) Should I expect any special problems in connecting Baan to Oracle8i? (After configuring Net8 and Tablespace6.1 correctly?)

Any ideas you want to share will be appreciated.
