Hi all,
I am opening again a thread on Linux as I have my own Redhat Linux server all ready to go for a BaanIVc4 installation but I am missing the famous portingset.
Anyone out there who can send me the Linux portingset on CD?
Leave me a private message or email me at patrick@baanboard.com

Hi Patrick,
on my notebook, BaaN runs with SuSE-Linux 6.4 --- 7.2. Kernel 2.2.19 und the modules IBCS, because with IBCS you can run the Portingset from SCO.
It works very well.
With the Kernel 2.4.x and the modules abi????
there is'nt all Function available.
Ciao

Hi Patrick,
I'm using the BaaNBase. It's only for playing and
programming some tools for me.

Hi Martin,
It's for play and experimenting for myself as well. I am trying to set up an Oracle based installation. I will have the portingset (thanks Scott Vandenhout!) and give it a go :)

Hey all,
I am very interested in installing a personal test machine with Baan and Oracle 8i. I've been using Oracle on Linux for a while, but I've only come to use Baan in the past two years after new employement.
How can I go about obtaining Baan for Linux? Our Baan administrator handles all the Baan "stuff" for us, but as the Oracle DBA I don't want to be completely dumb with the front end of things. Right now I am clueless with Baan. On that same token, I'd rather not kill performance by dinking around the production DB trying things out.
Thanks!
