I have an urgent need to migrate BAAN 4c4 on SQL 2000 and Windows 2003 to a new server with Windows 2003 and SQL Server 2005 because my current server is about to fall over. I will keep current service packs as theres are customization. Can you please share documentation/procedures if anyone has done this before. I have seen general guidlines on this site but need more sepcificics on which files / configurations to change on the destination server as well as order in which to execute differenet steps

Guideline:
1. Install the baan in new server and install latest service porting set.
2. Create the PMC and install the latest service pack in updated std.
3. Now create the VRC structure same as old server.
4. Export data Dictionary of customised object from old sever and import in new server in customises VRC.
5. Now import dump of data through seuential dump from old sever.
6. Now create table from sequential dump in new server.

some problem can be created in some table like Item master due to change in table dict so you can resolve through piping in sequentail dump files.

i thought the new server need to setup the same Baan Service Pack as old server...

after stable then upgrade to latest SP..
