I have a CD from 1999 - BAAN IV c4 for BackOffice (BD0024-192). I installed SQL Server 2005 and tried to select the appropriate Sort Order. sp_helpsort gives "Latin1_General_BIN". Yet, the installation from the CD will not proceed because of an error: "SQL Server is not configured with binary sort order." Is there any way to force BaaN IV to install past this error?

The porting set on the CD may not support SQL 2005 and may be reading the db parameters incorrectly. I would look into getting a more recent install CD to see if that alleviates the problem.

You need porting set 6.1c.07.13 or above to use SQL2005. Approach Infor for the latest Baan4 Master CD as it comes with the latest porting sets.
