Dear Friends,

I am developing an integration layer which implements e-commerce functionality using web technology (.net and java). Most of the data has to come from BaaN.

Question: Does BaaN provide some kind of public API or web service which can be hosted over web and can be called by a .net or java page from the internet? The decision to be taken is whether it is best to take data from BaaN (if possible) or directly connecting its backend (like Informix or TBase database) for display and processing on the website?

It would be great if BaaN exposes some web service interface which I can host over the web so that other application can easily access the BaaN data without the need to contact its backed database.

Anticipating a quicker response....

Thanks

Refer to:

Administrator's and User's Guide for Infor ERP LN Connector for Web Services 8.5
Document code U9209C US
Release Infor Enterprise Server Extensions 8.5
Publication date December 16, 2008

This is from latest LN's Open World documentation, and check with your local Baan support if these services are also available for your Baan-4 version.

hello,

i just got some information that LN got something called Myday, which with their web services, we are able to edit the form as we like, and it's using web services.

and they got some ESB with connection called on ramp, i don't know if this on ramp is the same with the web services, if it doesn't then it can only communicate with INFOR own on ramp.
