When you use a Baan session and create a record with the time of 3:15 PM in a date/time field and look at the value directly through SQL Server, the time will be 4 hours different (7:15PM). This 4 hour difference is the difference from GMT based on my time zone (EST).

If I decide to 'enter' a date/time value into a field through SQLServer directly, Baan will show a -4 hour difference in a Baan session.

Is there a parameter in SQLServer that I can set that would handle the time difference so if I view or query the data through SQLServer or something like MSAccess, it would adjust it accordingly?

Thanks,

John

Dear Friend...

We have faced the same problem with the time zone adjustments this may be solved in shell based OS.. but in microsoft OSs Decrease or Increase the time in the server time utility in the bottom of the server screen or the control panel regional settings to be adjusted with the application time for accurate reporting and transactions..
This is a simple way to solve this but you will face auditing and tracing problem with NT Administration issues so you should take care of this.
