I have logged in on server as administrator.still i am getting this windows socket error.

what will be the prob with my login?

and one more strange problem i am facing.in BaaN application folder i am able to access every folder except one folder.that folder is customized program script is stored in that folder.tccom is the folder and i can able to open that folder but not able to open that perticular script object.if i try to open it shows access denied.

Is there any problem with administrative rights?

Is the user-login with which you are logging to the Server a member of the administrators group? Windows socket error has to do with your network connection. So check your Nic if its connected to the network or not. Window2003 is finicky in these cases where it would require you to connect the server to a switch or hub regardless of whether that switch or hub is connected to the network or not. Last but not least, it seems you have a permission problem because of which you are not able to access the script file or worse come to worst, the file must be sitting on a hard disk sector thats damaged. But that very rare.....

Are you getting this error while you are logging on the server or client?
Are you able to connect to Baan at all or is it throwing you out with this "socket" error?

Try running the Convert User Data to Runtime Data Dictionary again for your username? Are you getting any error while runing it?

Does your username have company accessing rights? You must have attached a company to your login in the Maintain User Data. So have you given permission for this user to access that company. Apart from that, i take it that your username is of type "Normal User", am i right? Check his company authorization and also check the "Start/End Time" on the third form of Maintain User Data..

Are you logging into baan using the same username you are using to log into the client PC? Is the password the same of the client username and baan username?

Hi ,
Some times some of the folders in lib directory may not be present. Check all the folders are present or not.
I faced the error 10053. After reading event viewer i came to know that "locale" folder is missed in "lib" directory. In this one of my collegue helped. I copied that folder from another server. Then its working fine.

Regards!!!

2. Check baan login and system login in (user management )

3. Run CRDD .
