You have not created BAAN Database in Oracle. Although BaaN LN is supposed to create a DB in an Oracle Instance during Installation, it doesnt work.

Create a Baan database first using some Oracle utility like "dbca" and then re-run installation.

I have had this issue while installing Ln on Win2003/Sql2000. Couldnt pinpoint why it didnt create the database, was it the Locale or was it permission to the baan user..i wouldnt know.
But after formatting the whole thing and when i tried again, it worked like a charm without any problem..
So i would say to check the documentation of Ln and see what options you have selected. Yes, creating the database manually is an option and its also mentioned in the document on how to do it.

Thank you.

But I think I did creat the oracle instance and it works ok. And I also checked the related document and had no idea.

And now I use a lower edition of baan, like baan6.1 without SP, to install on that environment(Before installing the lower edition,I just uninstalled the baan component and did no opration to the database), there was no problem.

Hi,
Could you outline the steps that you have taken for installing Ln. Perhaps then it would be easier for us to point out where you might have gone wrong..
