Hi,

Is it fresh installation OR fresh installation replaced by old backup ?

error may happen if you replace baan folder with backup.

Hi Tansap,

When we install baan, setup asks baan user's password, it stores this password in lib folder under {BSE} and additionally it creates baan database (i.e. baandb) with this user & password, if there is any mismatch of baan user's password then these errors may happen, that's why I asked about your installation procedure.

Hi,

If you remember the previous password for BaaN user (i.e. when previous installation had done, whose backup is being restored), if current baan password is different then previous, uninstall baan setup & choose yes to remove database, change your current password for user baan to that previous password, And try installation & backup recovery again.

This procedure had resoved my problem and I found it safe as compared to changing database user & Owner thru MSSQL, and replacing database user files in {BSE}\lib folder.

if you had restored tables data by creating tables from seq-dump instead of restoring database thru SQL, You can check it by replacing old lib folder with lib folder from your fresh installation (just rename old lib folder & copy lib folder from fresh installation)

Best of Luck.

Baan error 5062 is MS-SQL server error 4062 and the problem has nothing to do with Baan but your database. For MSSQL7 I think 4062 means connection could not be established, cannot open user default database.
Can you connect directly to the database? I'm moving this to the DB forum.
