Hi All,

I have a very tiny question...

The different company numbers means completly different databases?

Cause in our company we have some different comp. numbers.
100 - Life company
111 - Test company

Comp. 111 contains same datas like 100, but it is not contains the latest datas.
I'ts a mirror of 100 from some months ago.

If I change the table definitions in 111 and take a mistake it' is possible to destroy datas in comp. 100? Or not?

Please somebody help me!

Thanks for advance!

Hi there,

different company number do not necessary mean different databases. Iin Baan the administrator can decide both on a company level and even on a table level in which database to place the data. In most cases, all companies are stored in the same database. You will have to look in the session "Assign Tables to databases" to see your specific case.

So in regards to change of data dictionary: The DD is defined for a package combination. So if both companies are in the same package combinationm, then changing the DD will effect both (independent of the database used).
