Is there any problem in having the Baan Server double up as a Domain Controller? Whats the ideal scenario for a Baan Server? Standalone, Member or a Domain Controller?
Looking forward to your inputs..

Hi Sukesh,
Is there any problem in having the Baan Server double up as a Domain Controller?
No..problem at all.
Whats the ideal scenario for a Baan Server? Standalone, Member or a Domain Controller?
AFAIK, BaaN not recommends any specific but support all.
It depends on your setup, If you have maintaned one PDC and others are the members or you do not want to overwhelmed your application server by lots of profiles then you can use without domain.
I would recommend domain with active directory serves better.

Thanks suhas for your feedback. The confusion around the type of the server arose when the documentation of Baan suggests making the Baan Server a Standalone server. It could be that the documentation is old or its just a recommendation.
