I copied my (closed) live databases from my live server to my test server.
They are now also running without problems on the test server.
Both servers are in the same network.
Is this a problem?
DO I need to change the DBnames, DBID's or service names, or SIDS of the copied
databases on the test server. If Yes, how can I do that?
Or isn't it a risk to have both environments exactly the same?

I didn't relink, rename or anything. The databases seem to work.
The main question is if there could be a problem having the two environments

exactly the same (SID, DBID, DBname, Global DBname, service name, etc.)?

As they run on different machines there is technically no problem. Of course the DBA's and Baan admins should take more care.

Hope this helps,
Dick

If AIX like Unix -> take care that your "passwd" is synchronized, i. e. the uid should be the same.
