I'm going to buy a new server and I wuold ask you which db is better : SQL2000, or ORACLE. I'm looking for the best performace.
Now I use baan IVc4 with 40 seat and 20gb database.

For that small of a system you could do just about anything and be fine.

I'd look at the cost of a Linux / Oracle (or DB2) system
vs.
Windows / MSSQL

and go with the cheapest. Performance will be about the same although db2 would be the fastest =)
