Hi All,

We've just installed SP17 for Baan 5.0c on Windows 2003 SBS with SQL Server DB

I'm trying to create a new package derived from an existing VCR. However after choosing my source package combination, I get an error which says, There are still definitions to be converted to runtime and possible tables to be reconfigured.

How can I get these converted ? and more importantly how can I find out what these tables are ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Norbert,

Sorry, I am a new user to Baan, can you please explain how to do this ? I tried Run Program ttadv500 and I get session not found.

Many thanks,

ttadv500, ttadv501 & ttadv502 are Tools TABLES, which store the data to be converted to runtime DD. There is no available standard Baan session which displays this information.

Hi Guru,

Ok, I've managed to see those tables I believe from General Table Maintenance. and going through and plugging in the parameters for those tables for company 000. However how I can tell what needs to be converted to Runtime, and how do I go about doing it ?

Thanks for your help...

Via the session ttadv5215m000 you can convert changes to runtime data dictionary. This session will update all the data which is present in the tables ttadv500, 501, 502.

There must be something else wrong then, as when I try to convert these changes to runtime, I get a message which says, dumping table definitions / domains not possible for package combination b50cpsp02 and then it goes on to say Create Runtime data dictionary (ttadv5210m000) has not finished reconfiguring tables yet.

Any ideas ?

Ok, there you got the answer; I guess you have not yet created runtime dd. The difference between CREATING runtime dd, and CONVERTING CHANGES, is that creating creates (renews) the runtime dd for the entire selection, and convert changes, only updates the objects that have been changed within Baan, and thus written into the ttadv500,501,502 tables.

One tip though: if you don't know what you're busy with, maybe it is worthwhile hiring a consultant for setting up your Baan environment...

Good luck!!

Do take care of these 2 things . Also I would also recommend get these things done with an experienced hand.
