We try to restore baan in new as400, but when we restore IFS files the folder /baanERP/bse/bin and /baanERP/bse/bin-s are empty.

The BAANLIB have objects.

There is any way to restore this folders?

Thank you in advance,

Install a new portingset as stored on the support Web? You can't just copy a porting set, you have to install it,

Hope this helps,
Dick

Hi Monica,

I am so glad that you are running your Baan on AS/400. We are one of few AS/400 big customers in USA.

When ever we copy our Baan instance to another server, other than IFS directories (/baanerp/bse/ and up) we also copy all Baanlib (includes Bin, porting sets), Baandata library and all other data libraries like Baan100, 110 etc.\
Once we copy those libraries in to another server, we do start the Baan, in few instances we may need to over-install the porting sets again. Generally Baan is going to up on new server on demo mode. Then we re-license the Baan by changing the license file, tables defiles (based on new serer name)

We do all these restorations through tapes...

If you have any further questions please let me know…

Thank you very much for your reply.
We finally restored Baan in the new server. Our problem was the folder /baan in IFS and library BAANLIB.
