We currently have Baan running in a Windows Workgroup called BAAN.

Currently, all users of Baan have to have a local Windows account on the Baan machine itself.

I want the Baan system to use the user's Windows Active Directory network login as the Baan login, so that when the user changes their AD password, the Baan system follows.

I read a previous post about having the Baan system in the AD Domain. Is this ALL I have to do to have the system recognize the AD users?

on which Windows Version (2000 or 2003) is your Domain running???

Because on Windows 2003 you must do several other things.
On W2K is not a problem.

Each Baan user is a database user or do you use 1 user to connect baan to the database?

Baan with AD domain works fine, no problem.
