Hi, can anyone recommend a decent ODBC windows driver for Informix 9? I have tried using the IBM official driver and find that it struggles with the number of Baan tables. I have tried a couple of non-IBM ODBC drivers and found them to either not work properly (in terms of selecting the baandb database) or poor performance.

I have not had this problem with MSSQLserver or Oracle, just Informix. Anyone had any sucesful experiences? If so, can you let me know how to get hold of the driver?

I'm not sure what you want to do but, if you just want to get at the data and don't mind the interface then perl DBI might be the answer. Completely untested, but might help... http://search.cpan.org/~johnl/DBD-Informix-2005.02/lib/Bundle/DBD/Informix.pm

SSA OpenArchitecture 2.7 will have an ODBC -> Baan DBD component

I.e., you can use their ODBC to connect to any database that Baan supports.

We use clientsdk 2.81 TC3
with informix 9.4 TC5
it works fine with our other applications.

When I create a ODBC connection I only see the first 8 characters of the tables f.e. baa.tcpclp several times. How to change it to find the correct table ?
