I go upgrade my BaanIVc4 to a platform AIX 5.3
My old system have some tables in Oracle 7 and all the others in Bisam.

What is the best choice, Oracle 9i or 10g?

There are various thread related to this issue. Go through search and you will found various comments on it.

We had also done the similar migration, and the server is giving very good performanc, we had upgraded to P5-520, with AIX5.3 and Oracle 10G.
system is too good and stable.

ofcourse oracle 10G will be the best choice, but u have to tune it as per ur database size.
