Hi All

How many oracle users is required to define for the normal Baan users. Say, I have 100 Baan users, so how many oracle users should need to define in server for better performance. Can i define 1 oracle user for every 10 baan users or is it possible to define 1 oracle for each baan user for more better performance. Kindly let me know is this really helpful for increasing Baan performance?

Thanks in advance

Are you talking Users or Sessions (i.e., connections to the DB?)

User's should be 1:1 and have nothing to do with performance...

Sessions are usually, i think, (5 or 10):1 since the Oracle driver creates
a number of connections in the background per Baan connection.

Thanks for your answer. I just want to know about the performance only.

Hi Viplov

Oracle only giving paper licenses, hence as concern to performance for 1:1 user does not impact on performance.
