Hi,
I am testing a new configuration where we need baan 5.0 clients run on linux. At the moment we tried to install these clients: bw_144, bw_158, bw_75a_024. The last one cannot be installed using wine (it tries to start the internal windows debugger) while 148 and 155 may be installed.
Unfortunatly, they cannot be run, giving every time the same error: Coul not load configuration file "C:\Program Files\Baan\B158\Lib\User\default.bwc"
Becs cannot run the bw configurator, so I copied a working default.bwc from a windows machine, but still bw fails.
Anyone managed to run baan erp client on Linux?

I am able to use it on fc7. To be honest: if you start a session the window is flickering a few times so not sure if you want to give that to your users. My box is just a sandbox, not production.
The pdf shows a screenshot, it contains also the information about which version of bw and wine I used.

This week I updated my fedora system. I installed a newer wine version with that and now the flickering which occurred during the start of the session has disappeared.

Hello,
The flickering problem is not due to wine, its probably because of your display drivers or display adapter.
Try a small test.
Run 'xrandr' from a console, If you get a black screen for a momen then this might not be a Wine bug , but a problem is with the video card driver.
There is a workaround to this issue:
1. Start Wine's Registry Editor
2. Navigate to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\X11 Driver". You
may need to create X11 Driver.
3. Create a new key called "UseXRandR" and set it to "N".
That should prevent Wine from using XRandR stop flickering.
