Hi Everybody,
We are in the process of evaluating various OS to move our current BaaN System (from Sun Solaris) to.
I would like some inputs on the stability of various Unix flavors and the flavor best suited for BaaN. [This is a tricky question as obviously it depends on various factors]
Nevertheless, I have noted the following:
1. AIX seems to have more issues than any other system.
2. HP Unix is most troublefree system for BaaN. UNIX itself is easy to manage and more versatile.
The activities I have put together for OS migration are:
1. File System Copy
2. Update Porting Set
3. Kernel Tuning
4. Make api6.2 again
5. Relicensing
Anything missed out?
Cheers,
Nancy
