Hi,

In the MS-SQL , The Database registered as darshak is not responding in enterprise manager .when we try to open the database its hangs.


In the event viewer it gives the error as 17310 :
process_loginread: Process 2096 generated fatal exception c0000005 EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION. SQL Server is terminating this process.


It is very urgent ,we are having imp data on this server and we can't relay on the backup.

can you access other databases on the server
can you connect via the command line tools like isql.exe
have you changed the user permissions on the problem database recently.
The user account launching EM must have access to the database, are you in mixed mode if so can you connect using SA.

The SQL worm has created all the mess.We have cleaned the worm and we have got our database intact.
