I am using Baan4c4 currently with BISAM database.

I wish to move my data to Informix database.
I have bought a new unix server where I intend to install Informix.
Can I use back my old application server and point the database link to the new server. My intention is to save time and there is no need for revalidation if I don't move the application. Is this possible or do I still need to revalidate the application to use Informix.

No Problem you can point your old application server to the new informix box.
But you might need to revalidate anyway, if the Informix driver of Baan was not validated up to now.
