it is only possible create an user in c4 with OS windows 2003 and MSSQL2000 with admin rights.
Creating a new user as normal user in windows and super user in Baan failed??
does anyone know why?

Hi Icke,

We have the similar setup. But have no issues that you are mentioning. We have many users as normal users defined on the Active Directory, but are superusers in Baan c2.

You might want to check their security, folder access & groups in the Active Directory.
Can you please elaborate what exactly is the error or is going wrong ?

As far as I know, the os users need "local log on" permission on the Baan server.

the particular user is allready created in the active directory.
then I create the user in baan, then as database user and then I link the users.
Now I try to log in but it does not work.
then I give the User admin rights in active directory and now it works.
In windows 2000 no problem with normal user.
The error message is.
"log on typ not for this user" error 1385

Sounds very much like the point Markus raised - the user must have the right to "log on locally".

of the user, in then logon to the right to connect ot the baanserver ?

the reason was indeed, I had to enable the user to log on localy.
