Hi

Our Harddisk had crashed and we had restored it by re installing the OS (Windows NT) and SQL Server. When we want to attach the baan database we encounter the following error:

2003-07-09 14:31:35.92 spid66 I/O error (bad page ID) detected during read at offset 0x00000016774000 in file 'h:\sql\MSSQL\data\tempdb.mdf'.

Any solution for this problem will be appreciated.

Dear Darren,

Thanks for ur reply. I had seen it earlier. Since I am no techie it looked too complicated for me. My sqa expert tells me that the database has gone kaput. Since i have a latest backup i decided to take the easy way out.. reinstall baan and load the backup.
