Hi,

We are having BaaN IV c4 running on NT 4.0 and sql 7.0 sp 2.

We would like to upgrade from sql 7.0 to sql 2000. Can any body help me on how to do this. Do we need to uninstall and install BaaN

Thanks

I am not sure of the merits of upgrading from SQL 7 to SQL 2000 since both have the same end of life date. In my brief testing there was actually a performance decrease when moving to SQL 2000 (Note this is without using the very slow buggy SQL 2000 SP3).

OK pole. Any way we want to try it out here. We will try this in our test server then may go for the production server.

Just can any body give any document regarding the procedure.

Baan document U7648A_US shows you how to upgrade.

You need SP3a for SQL Server 2000. It's straight forward and I have done it on some configuration without any problem.
Put SQL Server installation CD and follow instructions. After that, install SP3a ...
