Big trouble....
We've changed our ip-adres with the set_parms command. Now the baan licence deamon isn't starting anymore. Message hostname unknown.
Has someone ever before faced the same problem.
Please help needed a.s.a.p.
Thanks Peter.

ok - you changed IP address. What about the name of the server and /etc/hosts ? Did you change the name, too? Try to use the old name with new IP and make changes in hosts, too.
ps - I remember that once we have the same problem with AutoCad instalation on UNIX when we changed IP on that workstation. New IP caused changing another system param which AutoCad licence read.

Please ensure that $BSE/lib/licence6.x has the right name/ip to start the licence server.

When you request a validation key the Baan application checks some data of your hardware like MAC adress of network cards and so on.
Out of this data Baan is generating a unique key for your machine and use this for the generation of the licence key.
I am not 100 % sure but the IP might be part of this and therefore your daemon is not able to start any more. In this case you might have to request a new licence key.
