I checked my last Baan installation (AIX 5L, Baan IV c4, Oracle 9.2.0) and saw that installation didn't put dbsinit parameter in $BSE/lib/defaults/db_resource. Is it normal? I remember that earlier we had a big performance problem if dbsinit wasn't set to 01.
We don't have any performance problems yet, but I am curious to know what will be happen when more users start to work.
Thanks for your answers.

Yes, it's normal that a new installation hasn't db_resources correctly compiled.
I can be wrong, but I think that dbsinit has always the default value of 01... if not stated anymore.
Depending on your installation, there also other parameters in db_resources to set to optimize performances. Take a serch in the forum for db_resource....

Start your bshell with the commandline given below...-- -dbgres -keeplog -logfile Resources.txt... and check the file Resources.txt for the initial setting.
