Dear members,
I tried to run the SCO portingset 6.1c.05 on a Red Hat 8.0 Linux machine. There is an open source project called ABI which makes it possible to download and start several kernel modules that emulate a SCO Unix environment. SCO binaries can now be run.
I copied an existing Baan environment to this Linux server and modified lots of files in $BSE/lib, like described in QG1501 and QG1023, to get it working. Several binaries work fine, but most of them give error messages
such as these (from log.bdbpost6.1):
2003-07-15[15:36:38]:E:bsp: user_type S language 3 user_name bsp tty err locale
ISO88591/NULL
2003-07-15[15:36:38]:E:bsp: Errno 2 (No such file or directory) bdb_errno 0
2003-07-15[15:36:38]:E:bsp: Log_mesg: (ISO_BIN) *** Error in TSSsetlocale:
2003-07-15[15:36:38]:E:bsp: Can't set NLS locale ''
Where should the file/directory "ISO88591/NULL" be located and how should it be filled?
Any suggestions are most welcome!
