Hi,
BaanERP 5.0c installation on MSQL 7.0 requires the following
options: (see attachment !).
I want to make an upgrade MSQL 7.0 to version MSQL 2000 with the Copy Database Wizard option.
Any idea will be very appreciably.
Best regards,
Janez

The easiest way to upgrade is right over the top of SQL 7. This is something that works very smooth. If upgrading is not an option then the answer to your question is that you select Collation Designator and take the default then select binary under sort order. Hope this helps

I have dealt with a similar situation recently and the BGS has suggested that the latest Porting Set (See Solution Solution 105637 for BaanERP 50c) be installed before upgrading the database to SQL 2000.:)

We did this upgrade to SQL 2000 before applying the latest porting set and did not have any issues. Since then we have applied the porting set 7.1c.02 and have not had any problems.

I would like to add that the old portingset has problems with Microsoft Windows 2000. To over come this you have to install Service pack 1 of MS-SQL Server 2000.
Best option is to install the Latest porting set with the Latest service pack of SQL Server 2000.
