Hi,

Currently I have BaaN IV c4, sql 7.0 on NT. I am planning to migrate to Windows 2000 Advanced Server.

I have planned to just upgrade the Operating system, Baan version, Sql version remains same. Has somebody tested this configuration. Pls advise of how BaaN IV c4, SQL 7.0 behaves on Windows 2000 Advanced Server.

Regards

Hi folks, H. ... :)

It's possible to do such thing, ... and it works just fine ... :)

THE Prove:

I have installed Baan IV c4, SQL srvr 7.0, Exchange 2000, and all that on NetFinity 5100 ( pIII 550 MHz, 384 M RAM ), and is quiet nice installation - run without restart for more than 15 months, and is done by OpSys upgrade from NT 4.0 Srvr to MS SBS 2000 ( SBS 2000 = Windows 2000 Adv. Srvr. )

Regard of Baan execution speed, well..., I have just 9 ( nine ) licenses, so it's not bad to me on this machine.

But you know M$ - better box - better performance... ;)

Hope this helped,

AK
