Pls answer my query based on this configuration

NT Server 4.0
BaaN IV c4
SQL 7.0

This server crashes and we need to restore BaaN on a hardware that is different then the crashed Server. I have installed NT, SQL Server 7.0 and restored Baan database, application directories from tape. But it does not launch Baan as the same is not there in registry on the new Server. Can Anybody please guide of how to create registry entries on a New NT 4.0 Server.

Hi,
this is not a big problem. first load baan from CD/tape media freshly, then restore all application directory and then restore database from SQL ( if you have taken backup from SQL server 7.0). baan will work. I have done it several times. any problem

When we install a fresh BaaN, it asks for Validation.. Say I got it validated.. after validation.. if I restore database, application directory.. doesnt I require a fresh validation or the older one will work. Pls advise

1. install NT
2. install SQL7.0
3. Install BaaN fresh. the baan will on demo period.
4. install baandb.mdb from backup.
5. update /baan/dict
6. update /baan/application
7. ask for new validation key
8. install new validation key.
