Does anyone have experience using Baan MRP in a repetitive environment? Looking for ways to use Baan 50b/c for planning weekly schedules based on a higher level forecast with a level loading methodology.

Right now we are using order-based planning, and this gives us too much unstability. This portion of our business has very long changeovers, and we need to run the same machine for mutliple days at a time. So, Im looking to use the system to generate a level plan (or weekly scheule) rather that orders that are lot for lot

Thanks

Cyclic planning is used for repetitive planning and will help with the changeovers.

I have a decent paper discussing how cyclic planning has been used to assist a customer with a similar requirement. Feel free to contact me if you would like a copy.
