I am in BaaN IVc4.

We have defined routing for an Item and the standard operation cost is getting calculated from the routing. We did not define surcharge for any of the operation. But system calculates surcharge_on_operation (certain percentage approx. 29% on operation cost)by itself. How & why ? Please advise.

I am sure that we dont have surcharge by item, and surcharge by item group defined in the system..

There should then be surcharges against the components.

Yes as suggested by Filip, the surcharges defined for the BOM items of the Mfg item will be picked up.

yes, there is surcharge defined for some components of the main item.
