Hi All,

The rough material requirement that is generated after the MPS run does not consider the inventory that is lying in the nettable warehouses defined.

I am using BaaN IV c4.

The display rough material requirement session only shows the critical item's requirement as per the demand of the parent manufactured item.

The problem is that i cannot see what is actually required after considering the inventory lying of that particular critical item.

Pls enlighten

You are correct in discovering the rough material requirements do not consider the current inventory. The rough material requirements is created by multiplying the planning percentage time the unsatisfied demand in the MPS. It is used by MRP to determine additional material needs to satisfy critical components. The rough material requirements do not consider material levels until MRP is run. This is the way I have used it in a couple of locations.
