2 - If yes, at receipt time does it put the phantom item in stock or the component ?

You can purchase a phantom item.

If you book the Item or the compoments of the bom depends on the field tdpur041.btsp.

I think you find it on form 2 of the session tdpur4102s000.


If you enter a purchase position for a phantom item this field will
be filled with the value tcbtsp.bookto.comp as default wich means that the parts of the bom will be booked but you can overwrite so that you can receive the main item.

1. Yes, it's possible to purchase phantom items
2. You can do both. If you insert a pirchase order line with a phantom item, the field tdpur041.btst (Posting status, form 2 at Purchase Order Line)) will automaticly be set to "Post to Component". You will then receive the components of the phantom item. It's possible to change this field when you enter the order line of a phantom item to "Post to Main Item". That makes it possible for you to put the main item (phantom) in stock.
