We are trying to use the saftey stock feature in Baan V and can get it to work correctly for some items but not for others. Does anyone have a procedure for entering Safety Stock and then simulating orders and having it take?

Are the items using Master based or Order Based planning?

If the item use the item master plan (mantain master plan flagged in Plan Items), then you have to generate the inventory plan in cpdsp1210m000.
You will see the inventory plan in the item master plan: if you launch the MRP, it will plan new order to crete stock.
