What is the computation of Order Qty. calculated from Generate Planned INV Orders?

Thanks.

The calculation depends on the INV parameters (BaanIV). If "Time Phased Order Point" is "No", the system looks at the Economic Stock for your SIC items when you calculate, if Ec. Stock< Reorder Point for the Item, the INV calculation makes a proposal for an order. The qty. on this order depends on different fields in the item table (like order methode, min/max order qty, order qty multiple of, fixed order qty aso).
If the INV parameter "Time Phased Order Point" is "Yes", Baan also looks into the future, and use known demand in the calculation. The time phase is calculated because of the formula:

(Item lead time * Time fence Factor) + Time fence Constant

Time Fence factor and Constant is filled in at the INV parameters.

If the factor is 1,5 and constant is 10, and lead time for item A is 20 days, Baan will look (20*1,5) + 10 days into the future. If economic stock < reorder point when you calculate, or this situation is expected within the next 40 days, you will get a proposal for an order for item A.
