After MRP ran, I have couple of items that their Planned Purchase Orders have the same Order Date even the Plan Delivery Date is quite different. Below here are the plan order dates for one particular item.

Order Interval for this Item is 7 days, Lead Time is 117 days and Min. Order Qty is 0.

Hi,

Certainly system reacts such a way because of your order interval, lead time range. You can simulate it further with changing the order lead time and order interval time for the same item and notice the changes in the date structure.

Thanks for your suggestion. I moved the LT to 10 days, Order Lead Time to 10 and Safety Time to 1 day and it still giving me the same Planned Order Date for demand that is spread it over three to four months(same dates as above).

I found the problem. Our Default Calendar("Planning Calendar" tirou410) was outdated (the last day was 28/08/2011). This calendar has the calendar for an empty workcentre which is used to calculate for "Five Days Week", despite the ROU paramenter Company Calendar Type = "By Company", which uses the same table (tirou410) but worcentre = "ZZZ". It calcualtes the dates twice, first for worcentre = "ZZZ" then does a second pass but for worcentre = " "(it was failing here).

Note that the Planning Calendar (tirou410) is different from the Company Calendar (tirou400).

I just created the default calendar (tirou410) with session "Create Default Company Calendar (tirou4204m000)" for the next 10 years and all planning orders got the right dates.

I would like to know what is the diffrence between these two calendars (Company Calednar "tirou400" and Planning Calendar "tirou410").
