I need to change the order quantity unit in a production order in BaaN V.
It takes the inventory unit described in Item General.
Is it possible in Baan to change the order quantity unit in a production order ? Since the moment the item has some inventory transaction the inventory unit in Item General gets disabled.

Hi,

You can copy that item to create another fresh item and change the inventory unit of the new item as per your requirement and for the old item whatever the inventory is available at warehouse, once that being consumed fully, block that old item for any transactions and keep using the new item therefore.
Changing of unit at production order is not possible as it picks only the unit being maintained at Item General.
