I have a problem when iam using session tdilc5110m000(enter location cycle counting data)

problem: an error message negeative transaction not allowed

i checked out my inventory data in tdilc1512m000 and the inventory was available there.... but out of 28, 8 where allready allocated... i do not know how it was allocated..

help me out?????

Have you checked your distribution parameters to see if the system allows for negative inventory ?

thanks for ur reply , can u tell me what i need to check in distribution parameter ... ... further to my question i made allocated inventory to 0 in the table lavel and then it was possible to make cycle counting data 0.

my problem is how that inventory got allocated.

Hi Preethish,

You must check the session tdinv0100m000 (Maintain INV parameters), the option "Negative inventory allowed" should be "No". If you perform cycle counting the option "Block during Warehouse Cycle Counting" should be "Yes". As per your statement it could possible some other person might be performing some inventory transaction during your cycle counting process for which the inventory of the same item got allocated, otherwise during cycle counting process item's inventory never gets allocated.
