On our system, Planned production orders are generated basing on a "Forward Planning Method". Can a "Backword Planning Method" be used? And how?

Hi,
Just given a scenario were you can use backward planning. When the Investment is huge and the delivery date is known, and you don't want to hold the inventory as the investment is huge. then we can have backward planning, were you enter the delivery date and system gives you the start date. (Note in forward planning the start date is entered and system gives you the delivery date).

Hi,

In case if you are using work load control (session cpwlc2101m000) check the 'Backward Planning' option under Parameters Tab is checked or not against the Actual scenario.

Roy

Check the project details (tipcs2130m000) session for the planning method defined for a particular project.
