I would like to know whether it is possible to Generate Production orders for the Component of Kit Item? Please let me know how?

You use Kit item in Sales Order line, if the stock of component is sufficient, when run session generate order planning,it will generate planned production order for those components of the kit.

Thankx for reply. but when I generate SO and in the specific option I couldn't able to find Generate Prod Order option. It remain masked. So do we have any other way than Order planning to generate Prod Order for the component items

Generate SO is in which session code?
I only use session Sales Order line to create SO , then if the sales person is also the user who generate production order, then ill add the session in SO line - Specific (customize form).
Is this the same condition with yours?
