Is it possible to dismantle an end product in Baan, that is to consume the inventory of an end product and increase the inventory of its component while capturing some hours accounting ?

I am on Baan 5c

You can try this :

the component (let say Item C)
the end product (item A)
Process to remove C from A is proces R1

U can create BOM for item C : consist of item A and Routing for item C is R1.
then create Production Order for Item C .
Process it like regular Production Order.

I think your suggestion does not works if we have C1, C2, C3 .......

C1, C2, and C3 came from 1 end item A?
Then you can add C1,C2,C3,...as BOM components of C, but with negative qty.
But well, there will be some costing issue need to be checked for this.
