I am wondering why Baan did not make this field as mandatory for revision controlled item.

I have a case where the user accidentally remove the defaulted value and Baan allow her to create the production order.

But when come to posting the finish goods to inventory, she got an error "Revision does not exist for Item and lot combination"

Isn't better to tell the error up front ?

I am sure I can achieve this through customization.
