Could anybody help on this problem?
BOM: H(1pcs)=A(1pcs)+B(1pcs)
C is the use up item for item A
D is the alternative material for item B
Inventory stock for A, B,C,D,H are all zero.
Demand for H is 10 pcs
Generate MRP, the system result in planned inventory movement is:
1. Planned receipt H 10pcs
2. Planned issue C 10pcs
3. Planned issue D 10pcs
Based on the BAAN logic, the result is not correct.
1. C is the use up material and it can not be ordered anymore. So if there is no enough inventory stock of C, the system should result planned purchase order for item A.
2. D is the alternative material and it can only issue the inventory. If there is not enough inventory stock of D, the system should result planned purchase order for item B, not item D
How to solve this problem and let the system to generate the right result?!
