When a Planned Order is created, there is a planning method associated with it. For a planned distribution order, it can have either a Forward or a Backward values. Do you know what sets this value? I couldnt find anything on the Item or the Plan Item wherein I can specify the planning method.

The computed start date is based on:
A given finish date.

In Forward Planning System

ERP computes the finish date based on:
A given start date

if a production order is in "planned stage" and remained in planned status for the long period, what are the disadvantages from system point of view if it is not deleted from the system.
