The "Maintain Master Plan" field in the Item Planning data (cprpd100) is disabled for all the "Planned" Items. I have deleted the Item Planning data & created new but the field remains diabled !!

All the tables related to Item master have been imported from BaanIV by exchange scheme.

Did you check the EP Parameter "Master Planning Implemented"?

Yes, the Option is checked in EP Parameters

Is it for customized item or standard item?. It must be for customized item. For derived from customized item we can not maintain master plan. If we unlink derived from item from customized item, then maintain master plan field gets enabled and we can maintain master plan for the same.

How do we unlink derived from item from customised item - is it thru GTM or is there any other way.

In item general if you go to Engineering tab, specific menu gets eanbled and from there you can unlink the derived from item. This you need to do for each item. If you want to do the same for all items then you can do the same through GTM.

Please check the importance and functional impact of removing this link.
